The CG-Lock gives you about 80% of the holding power of a full race harness. Why do people use a harness? You don't need to "hang on" when driving hard...you can keep your feet light on the pedals and your hands light on the wheel for better driving control, faster reactions, and less fatigue. I was looking for something that would keep me in my seat. The belt in my car only locks when it thinks it should, for example, going around a sharp turn. I'm smaller and find in the bigger seat I slide forward and it upsets my back. This easy to install device keeps my lower half locked in so I don't have to think about sliding forward.
