Finally someone comes up with such a simple, yet needed travel accessory! You can use it with the tray table up or down - and in the car too on the way to the airport. I fly transatlantic a few times a year and don't find it very comfortable to leave the tray table down for extended periods of time. With the Cup Pilot, I can have my drink secured in front of me while still being able to cross my legs or retrieve things from my underseat bag. No more dumped coffee in your lap (or worse, all over that expensive iphone/blackberry/dvd/mp3 player!) when there's a bit of turbulence, or being afraid of knocking your little plastic cup over while you're trying to saw through that over-done in-flight dinner! It folds just about flat and easily fits in a purse/pocket/carry-on. It seems a little pricey at first glance, but the first time you end up sitting on an 8 hour flight with a soggy lap, it immediately becomes worth every penny. Great & versatile item!!!
